2006 Season (San Francisco): Scored 15 goals and added 5 assists. Scored 2 goals in season opener 5/28 vs Denver and followed it up with a 3 goal performance on 6/3 at Chicago. Scored 2 goals on 6/17 at Boston. Had 2 goals and 2 assists in a 20-19 Dragon victory on 6/24 at Denver. Scored 3 goals on 7/8 vs. Chicago and had 3 goals in the regular season overtime win vs Chicago on 8/12. Scored 1 goal on 8/25 in the MLL semifinal vs Denver at the New Balance Championship Weekend.

College: Graduated from the University of Maryland in 2002, where in his senior season, he tied for the team lead in goals with 24 and added 7 assists. He had eight multi-point games and closed his career with a season high 6 goals vs. Yale. Overall, Watkins played in 59 games as a Terp midfielder and scored 37 goals and added 12 assists. He was named to the Honorable Mention All American Team and participated in the annual North-South All Star Game. He also served as Team Captain as a senior. Watkins also participated on the United States U-19 Team.
