Rapid City uses early goal to top Bloomington, 2-1

Jeff Lee gave Rapid City the lead in the first period, and the Bloomington Blaze was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 2-1.Rapid City took over the lead for good with a goal by Lee at 5:56 in the first period. Rusty Masters assisted on the tally.
Rapid City was sparked by Winston Day Chief, who racked up one goal. Day Chief scored on the power play 2:50 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Rapid City. Rapid City had gained a power play chance when Travis Granbois was whistled for hooking. Jamie VanderVeeken picked up the assist.
