Brendon Hodge scored the clinching goal in a shootout, and the Fort Worth Brahmas picked up the extra point in a 2-1 (2-1 SO) win over the Allen Americans.The shootout featured nine attempts between both teams. Allen's shootout goal was scored by Jamie Schaafsma. In addition to the clincher, Fort Worth got a shootout goal from Sy Nutkevitch.
The Brahmas came back from a one-goal deficit to capture the victory. Fort Worth trailed 1-0 after a goal by the Americans' Drew Daniels at 1:51 in the first period. The Brahmas knotted things up at 1-1 on a goal by Shawn Szydlowski at 18:45 in the third period.
