Wichita beats Denver 7-1 as Robinson gets hat trick

The Denver Cutthroats could not stop the Wichita Thunder's Matt Robinson, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-1 win.Robinson notched his first tally 9:04 into the first period. He then added goals at 12:38 into the second and at 8:17 into the third.
Wichita's goal total was higher than its season average. The Thunder average 3.5 goals per game. Wichita cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring three goals on five chances. The Thunder's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
