Missouri downs Allen in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Missouri Mavericks' Kenton Miller scored 25 seconds into overtime to beat the Allen Americans, 3-2 (OT).
In the losing effort, Allen was sparked by Scotty Howes, who registered two goals. Howes scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 7:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Allen. A roughing penalty on Blake Forsyth had put the Americans on the power play. Trevor Ludwig picked up the assist. Howes' next tally on the power play made the score 2-2 with 1:13 left in the third period. Tyler Ludwig provided the assist.
Missouri was led by Miller, who grabbed one goal.
The Mavericks were often in penalty trouble, totaling eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 16.0 minutes per game Missouri had been spending in the box. The Mavericks put 28 shots on net during the contest, more than the 24.6 they average per game.
