Fort Worth rolls over Arizona, 4-1

The Fort Worth Brahmas had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 4-1 win over the Arizona Sundogs.
Phil Fox had a great game for Fort Worth, netting two goals. Fox found the back of the net on the power play 4:53 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Fort Worth and again while 15:04 into the third to make the score 4-1 Fort Worth.
The Brahmas' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Arizona power plays. Fort Worth's offense was clicking better than usual and put 29 shots on goal during the game, better than the 22.5 shots per game it averages.
Chad Woollard also scored for Fort Worth. In addition, Fort Worth received assists from Tomas Klempa and Derrick Pallis, who each chipped in one and Shawn Szydlowski, Ross Rouleau, and Calin Wild, who contributed two a piece.
Arizona struggled on the penalty kill, allowing the Brahmas to score three power play goals on four chances. The Sundogs relied on a core group of players for most of their offense, as Adam Smyth, Ron Meyers and Jake Hauswirth took 10 of the team's 18 shots.
Arizona was led by Matt Tassone, who scored the team's only goal. Tassone scored 14:15 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Fort Worth. Karl Linden assisted on the tally.
Fort Worth's Kristofer Westblom stopped 17 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Brahmas ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major. Fort Worth ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Woollard was ejected from the game. Adam Russo recorded 25 saves for the Sundogs. Arizona ended with 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
