Walker's hat trick boosts Bloomington over Tulsa, 6-3

Jared Walker netted a hat trick to lead the Bloomington Blaze over the Tulsa Oilers, 6-3.Walker notched his first tally 8:19 into the first period. He then added goals at 48 seconds into the second and at 19:18 into the third.
Bloomington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Tulsa power plays. With 42 shots on target during the contest, the Blaze exceeded the 31.1 shots they average per game this year. Bloomington could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.
Bloomington also got points from Kyle Bochek, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Matthew Larke, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Aaron Dawson also scored for Bloomington. In addition, Bloomington received assists from Ryan Palmer, who had two and Tysen Dowzak, Travis Granbois, and Sebastien Trudeau, who contributed one a piece.
The 45 shots that Tulsa put on net surpassed the Oilers' average of 25.5 shots per game this season.
Tulsa was helped by Ben Gordon, who finished with one goal. Gordon scored 7:31 into the third period to make the score 4-3 Bloomington. Gary Steffes provided the assist. Tulsa also got a goal from David Beauregard as well. More assists for Tulsa came via Jeff Buvinow, Sean Erickson, Ryan Menei, and Ryan Cramer, who each chipped in one.
Pier-Olivier Pelletier recorded 42 saves for the Blaze. Bloomington registered one goal on three power play opportunities. Ian Keserich made 36 saves for the Oilers on 41 shots. Tulsa incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
