Matt is a left- catching goalie, who prides himself at anticipating and reading the plays as they are developing on the ice.  He keeps his team in the game by using his speed, agility, and quick reflexes to control the low shots and to limit rebounds.  Matt also seizes the opportunity to play the puck in order to  create offense and break out the puck. 

Matt has received several "Unsung Hero" and "MVP" awards during his goalie career. His favorite goalies are Marty Biron who is always upbeat and continuously works at improving his game, Carey Price, who plays good position and reads the plays well, and Marc-Andre Fleury, who is a fast, positional goalie.   

Last year, Matt attended Williamsville South High in New York where he maintained a 3.0 GPA and was in Honors Science.  He also played Varsity Ice Hockey during his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. Matt recently relocated to Michigan and is currently a Senior at Clintondale High School.  He  enjoys baseball, roller hockey, and his dogs in his spare time. 

Matt plans to attend a Division 1 university where he would like to play hockey and pursue a degree in electrical engineering
