Eastern Hockey League Extends Deal with Pointstreak

TORONTO, ON. –  Pointstreak Sports Technologies is pleased to announce a renewal agreement with the Eastern Hockey League (EHL) for two more years.

The EHL contracted with Pointstreak last season to track and publish their statistical data, including real time scores and an easily sortable historical data with a user-friendly website.

“I think it gives us a professional advantage in the junior hockey marketplace” said Mark Kumpel, Director of Hockey Operations of the Eastern Hockey League, “For 2013-14, we have increased the scope of our partnership with Pointstreak. In addition to the statistical services, we have contracted with them to supply their video editing software 'Pointstreak Performance' to our league coaching staffs. I personally have been using this software for the past three years and find it to be a vital tool to develop hockey players and championship teams.”

“The Eastern Hockey League has been on a growth path and is fast becoming a go-to league for aspiring student-athletes”, said Scott Secord, Pointstreak's President and CEO. “We're proud to continue to be a partner in their growth and success.”

The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) will utilize the following Pointstreak Sports Technologies services:

  • Pointstreak Stats - A real-time scoring & league administration system.
  • Pointstreak Sites - A sports-focused website content management system
  • Pointstreak Performance - is a new platform offering a suite of analytical performance tools for coaches, players, scouts and recruiters. Integrated solutions designed for video, stats, and player information and scouting tools enhancing the development, promotion and performance of any athlete or organization.

EHL teams are fully committing to the USAH Hockey Junior Model and all EHL organizations have a rich history of producing tomorrow’s NCAA and NHL stars.

The EHL operating standards will mirror many USA Hockey Tier II standards and will guarantee that each player is given the best opportunity to receive maximum exposure to NCAA and NHL scouts. The strategic location of each organization will allow the EHL teams to keep player tuition down, minimize travel and allow scouts to attend regular season games in addition to the league showcase games.
