New Hampshire Monarchs beats Florida Jr. Blades 6-1 as LaJeunesse gets hat trick

A hat trick by Kyle LaJeunesse was the highlight in Monarchs' 6-1 win against the Florida Jr. Blades Blades.

LaJeunesse's first goal came 30 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 1:43 into the second and at 10:56 into the third.

The New Hampshire Monarchs Monarchs were led by goalie Alex Devine, who finished with 34 saves while allowing one goal. Devine managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.34 prior to the game.

Florida Jr. Blades was unable to stop New Hampshire Monarchs from sending pucks towards the net, and the Monarchs eventually piled up 46 shots on goal.

New Hampshire Monarchs also got points from Christopher Zuccaro, who also grabbed one goal and two assists and Paul Pirozzo, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Teddy McCarran also scored for New Hampshire Monarchs. More assists for New Hampshire Monarchs came via Lukas Audycki, Brent Beaudoin, and Christopher Moquin, who each chipped in one.

The Blades' offense rang up 35 shots on New Hampshire Monarchs' net.

Florida Jr. Blades was led by DJ Thomas, who scored the team's only goal. Thomas scored 2:39 into the first period to make the score 1-1.

The Monarchs incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Blades' Eric Sugrue stopped 40 shots out of the 46 that he faced. Florida Jr. Blades totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
