The Brewster Bulldogs Bulldogs and the Junior Bruins Bruins skate to 3-3 (OT) tie

Brewster Bulldogs found itself down againt Junior Bruins, but battled back to secure to a 3-3 (OT) tie.
The Bulldogs stifled the Bruins' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Brewster Bulldogs kept Junior Bruins' goalie busy throughout the game, and Shane Benjamin made 32 saves on 35 shots.
The Bulldogs were led by Jake Garay, who racked up two goals. Garay scored the first of his two goals short handed at 2:51 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Brewster Bulldogs played down a man on Michael Laffin's slashing. Garay's next tally short handed made the score 3-3 with 9:46 left in the third period. Troy Lynch assisted on the tally. Brewster Bulldogs also got a goal from Nicholas Alexander as well. More assists for Brewster Bulldogs came via Chad Malinowski, who had one.
The Bruins managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Junior Bruins wound up below its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. The Bulldogs were unable to stop the Bruins from sending pucks towards the net, and Junior Bruins eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.
The Bruins were helped by Hayden Voss, who tallied one goal. Voss scored 50 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Junior Bruins. Steve Iacaboni also scored for Junior Bruins. In addition, Junior Bruins received assists from Gabe Lamontagne, Luke Prendergast, Nelson Pulling, and Cody Williams, who contributed one a piece.
Zachary Geller rejected 33 shots on goal for Brewster Bulldogs. The Bulldogs incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Junior Bruins registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
