Matt Float is an infielder for the University of Southern California. In 2011, his second year as a Trojan, Float batted .262 with 22 RBIs in 145 at-bats. Playing in 44 games, Float had 38 hits and scored 12 runs.
In his first year at USC, 2010, Foat started in 51 of the Trojans’ 52 games and earned Pac-10 Conference honorable mention recognition. He hit 10 double, a triple, and five home runs earning himself a .275 batting average with 33 runs batted in. His freshman year at Sierra College, Foat earned All Big-8 Conference first team honors and was named to the NorCal all-state team. In 44 games, he batted .395 with 18 doubles, six home runs, 36 RBIs and nine stolen bases.
During his high school career at Ponderosa High in Shingle Springs, CA., Foat earned all-state second team and all-city first team honors, and Sierra Valley most valuable player his senior year after hitting .519.
