Conor Keniry is an infielder in his first year at Wake Forest University. In 2011, Keniry batted .214 in 117 at-bats over 39 games. Keniry had a .348 on-base percentage with 25 hits. “At some point in his career he will be an every day player,” says Coach Walter, “He possesses all the necessary tools to be successful, as it’s just a matter of maturity at this point.”
During his high school career at Notre Dame High School of West Haven, Keniry was named to the American Legion Dream Dozen team in 2008 and 2009, was invited to the Rawlings Futures Game, and earned All-Division, All-Conference, and All-State as a junior. Keniry led the team with a .405 batting average, two home runs, 11 doubles and one triple his junior year. In his sophomore year, he was named MVP of the Southern Connecticut Conference Tournament.
