Miguel returns to Bridgeport for his second season in the Atlantic League and 10th overall of professional baseball. The righthander became one on the most dominant relievers in the Atlantic League last year, allowing zero runs and only six hits, while striking out 18 in his 18 appearances with the ‘Fish. He now holds the Bluefish record for most consecutive scoreless innings pitched with 23.2 frames. The former prospect of the Astros and Reds organizations has reached as high as the Triple-A level with the New Orleans Zephyrs (Houston Astros) from 2002-04 and the Louisville Bats (Cincinnati Reds) in 2005. Miguel owns a career 3.43 ERA with 96 saves and 398 strikeouts in 509.2 innings tossed.
Saladin was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Astros in 1995.
