Jackson enters his first season with the Ducks after amassing two wins and 47 strikeouts for the Bluefish in 2010. Last year with the Bluefish, the right-hander recorded 101 strikeouts in a team-high and career-best 28 games started. He also set career-highs with 157 innings pitched and 11 victories. Jackson’s best start of 2009 came on June 7 against the Somerset Patriots, when he recorded his first complete game win of his career by allowing only one hit and one walk, while striking out three batters over seven innings of work.

The New Hampshire native spent seven seasons in the Red Sox system. His best year came in 2006, when he split time between Single-A Greenville of the South Atlantic League and Double-A Portland. In 46 appearances, the 27-year-old recorded a 1.98 ERA with a nine victories and 103 strikeouts in 82 innings of work. His impressive performance earned him a spot on Boston’s 40-man roster the following season.
