Sosa was acquired by the RoadRunners in an off-season trade with the Winnipeg Goldeyes of the independent Northern League. The outfielder played for Worcester in 2009 and .314 with 15 HR and 69 RBI. Sosa is a former SF Giants farmhand and Batted .253 with 10 homers and 53 RBIs in 122 games with Double-A Connecticut in 2008. Also a veteran of the Dominican Winter League, Sosa is expected to bring power to the St. George lineup.
