Scurry joins the AirHogs for his first season in independent baseball. He spent two seasons in the Colorado Rockies organization, reaching low-A ball
In 2009, Scurry went 5-1 with a 2.68 ERA in 37 innings pitched. He recorded one save and 23 strikeouts on the season.
Surry played his collegiate ball for the University of Nevada. He is the son of former Major Leaguer Rod Scurry Sr.
