Pirman, who is also the Fielders Hitting Instructor, last played in 2008 for the Ottawa Rapides, of the Canadian-American Association. He has a .283 career batting average with 55 home runs and 335 RBI in 533 career minor league games, coming into the 2010 season. In 495 games playing in the outfield, he has an impressive 53 assists. Pirman was drafted out of high school by the Detroit Tigers in the 1999 amateur entry draft, before deciding to attend Eastern Illinois University.
