The three-time United League All-Star finished the 2006 season with the WhiteWings before spending the entire 2007 and 2008 seasons with the team, He played for the Shreveport-Bossier Captains (American Association) last season, batting .264 with nine double, three triples, two home runs and 33 RBI in 70 games. Griffin had a career-year for the WhiteWings in 2008, hitting .320 with 22 doubles, four triples, three home runs and 37 RBI. He scored a career-high 53 runs while stealing 15 bases in 77 games before earning team MVP honors. In 2007, Griffin helped lead the WhiteWings to the first half championship and home field advantage in the United League Championship Series by hitting .291 with 11 doubles, three home runs and 20 RBI in 64 games. The Roanoke, Virginia native split the 2006 season between San Angelo, Alexandria and Amarillo before joining the WhiteWings. He was traded to the Colts by the Captains earlier this off-season. The 28-year old opened his professional career with Ohio Valley (Frontier League) in 2005.
