Calfapietra enters his 11th season as Jackals skipper. A three-time Manager of the Year, Calfapietra began his coaching career in 1994 as an assistant for the Northern League's Duluth-Superior Dukes. In 1997, he served under Ed Ott on the Allentown Ambassadors, before stepping into the managerial seat in 2000 at the age of 29. Calfapietra began managing in New Jersey in 2003, and led the Jackals to the 2004 Northeast League Title. In 2012, Calfapietra won his 500th game as Jackals manager. He has led the Jackals to the playoffs four consecutive years (2009-12), and has appeared in the last two Can-Am League championship series'.
