Infielder Argenis Reyes, who has played 58 games in the Major Leagues with the New York Mets over the past two seasons, joins the Jackals in 2010.
The 27-year-old native of the Dominican Republic spent the majority of 2009 with the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons, batting .282 with 31 RBIs in 101 contests. Originally signed as an undrafted free agent, Reyes spent his first seven seasons in the Cleveland Indians organization before signing with the Mets in 2008 and making his Major League debut later that season.
The switch-hitting Reyes boasts a .287 career minor league batting average.
