Kinne, a Massachusetts local, plays his ball for the Columbia University Lions.
As a high school student at Monument Mountain, Kinne was a 2-time Berkshire County MVP who lettered 3 years and was a team captain one season. A great contact hitter, Kinne hit 508 one high school season and made the Massachusetts Underclass All Star Game twice. He’s brought his contact ability with him to the Ivy League. In a limited 12 games his first year, he hit 615 with 8 hits in 13 at bats. He got his first career hit on March 15th 2013 in a game against UCF. With the ability to play second, third and short, the SteepleCats are thrilled to add his bat and versatile glove to their squad.
Kinne comes from an athletic family. His mother, Cathleen played basketball for four years at Smith and his father Kevin played baseball at Amherst and for the Chatham A’s of the Cape Cod league.
