Chris was named to the South squad for the West Coast League All-Star Game, but did not play because the game was rained out.
Chris was a Division III All-American and a Northwest Conference first-team all-star for the second year in a row after helping lead the Wildcats to the NWC championship and an NCAA berth. He named to the 60-man watch list for the 2014 Golden Spikes Award on Feb. 13. It's given to the top college baseball player in the country.
Chris earned Northwest Conference Pitcher of the Week honors for March 31-April 6; for March 10-16 and for April 21-27. He was nominated for Pitcher of the Week honors for Feb. 3-9, for Feb. 10-16, for April 7-13 and for April 14-20, but was not selected. He was also named to D3baseball.com's national Team of the Week for April 21-27.
Chris was 15-1 with a 1.07 ERA and 96 strikeouts in 126 innings for Linfield in 2013. He helped lead the Wildcats to the NCAA Division III national championship, and was the winning pitcher in the title game.
He was a first-team D3Baseball.com All-American and all-West Region selection, and also was a first-team Northwest Conference all-star and the NWC Pitcher of the Year. He was the Pacific Conference Pitcher of the Year, a first-team all-state selection and a Reser's Oregon All-Star Series participant in 2012 as a high school senior.
Chris played for the Swift Current (Saskatchewan) Indians in the Western Major Baseball League last summer and was 7-3, 1.91 in 75.1 innings, with 70 strikeouts.
