Ramirez, nicknamed “Torta”, is in St George for the first time after spending four years with the Long Beach Armada. The longest-tenured member of the Armada has hit .265 last season in 21 games. In 2007, David batted .273 with 3 HR and 20 RBI. He has appeared behind the plate in at least 45 games for the Armada each his first three LB seasons. Ramirez calls Oxnard, CA his hometown and honed his craft playing at Cal Lutheran University.
