Webb, 27, joins the Blue Crabs after spending the majority of the 2013 season with the Rockland Boulders of the Canadian-American Association. In 97 games for the Boulders, Webb hit .297 with 30 stolen bases and ten home runs in 97 games. His 30 stolen bases was a team-high along with his 73 runs scored 50 walks.
The 5’11”, 210-pound, switch-hitting outfielder began his professional career in the 2008 with the Cleveland Indians Low-A affiliate in Mahoning Valley of the New York-Pen League. In 2009, Webb began the season in Class-A Lake County but was promoted all the way to AAA Columbus after hitting.293 with 36 stolen bases. He spent the 2010 and 2011 season across four levels of the Cleveland organization reaching as high as triple-A in 2011 with Columbus. Webb was picked up by the Miami Marlins in 2012 and spent the season playing for Jacksonville Generals of the Southern League.
The Enid, Oklahoma native was selected in the 10th round of the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft out of Oklahoma State University.
