Sarianides, 24, joins the Blue Crabs after spending this past season pitching for the Trois-Riviers Aigles of the Canadian-American Association. In 40 games this year, the righty went 1-5 with and ERA of 4.78 and a team high 18 saves in 37.3 innings pitched.
The 6’1”, 200-pound right-handed pitcher began his professional career in the Cleveland Indians organization in 2009. That year he split between rookie ball and Class A Lake County. In 2011, he spent the majority of the season in Lake County before being promoted to Advanced-A Kinston of the Carolina League.
The Fort Benning, GA native was drafted in the 28th round of the 2009 MLB Amateur Draft from Chattahooche Valley Community College in Phenix City, AL by the Cleveland Indians.
