After a stellar season pitching for Chattahoochee Valley City College in Phenix City, Alabama, the Chicago White Sox took Banks in the 13th round of the Amateur Entry Draft (390th overall). In August of 2004, while pitching for the White sox’ single A affiliate, the Great Falls White Sox, Banks engraved his name in the history books as he and teammate Eric Everly combined to record the first-ever no-hitter in team history. In his impressive eight year career as a professionally baseball player, 2004 was coincidently his greatest season of his career. In the '04 season, Banks recorded a 2.00 ERA in 36 innings pitched while striking out 50 batters. In only 119 career innings pitched, the crafty left-hander has fanned an astonishing 146 batters and has an ERA of 3.62. After a 10 win season in 2010 where he lead the Outlaws to the GBL championship, Banks looks to repeat the his success to grab the first ever NABL Championship.
