Infielder Cristobal Santana played 62 games for the Toros in 2009 flashing a phenomenal glove at both Third and First Base. The Dominican native hit a steady .284 en route to helping the club advance to the playoffs in their inaugural season. Cristobal seemed to get hits in bunches for the Toros in 2009 with 18 multi-hit games, including a magnificent 4-hit performance on August 25th in St. George during the final series of the regular season. The 2010 season will mark Santana’s 10th season in professional ball, after beginning as an 18-year in the Chicago White Sox minor league system in 2000. He has also played in the Arizona Diamondbacks, Oakland Athletics and Cleveland Indians organizations during his career.
