Trey enters his second season of pro ball both with the Colts after a solid rookie campaign with San Angelo. Trey played collegiately at Angelo State University where he was a two-year letter winner. The Sherman, Texas-native played in 44 games for San Angelo last season hitting .317 with 5 homeruns and 23 RBIs. His season ended early when he got injured. Carter is not only a former player, but coached at ASU just before he joined the Colts last season. While at Angelo State he was a two-year letter winner for the Rams. As a junior in 2008, Carter was a second-team all-conference selection while batting .357 with two homers and 27 RBIs. In his senior year he batted .377 with 11 homeruns and 64 RBI and was no slow footed catcher swiping 18 bags, earning him first-team All-Lone Star Conference honors. Trey, also owns the Rams single season record for walks (52).
