#97 Greg Lane - Player Profile

Lane joins the Saltdogs in 2010 for his second season of professional baseball, although under league rules he will retain rookie status.  He joined Sussex of the Can-Am League in June of 2009 almost immediately after finishing up his collegiate career, and posted a solid season out of the bullpen for the SkyHawks with a 3.48 ERA in 21 appearances.  Greg’s efforts earned him a mention in Baseball America’s list of 2009 top independent baseball prospects.  Lane served as the closer for Binghamton University during his final season in college, going 5-2 with seven saves and helping Binghamton win both the America East championship and an NCAA Tournament Regional game.
