Dustin Ramey is a junior right-handed pitcher for the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Ramey led the Riverhawks pitching staff in 2010 with 7 wins, posting a stellar 2.07 ERA over 69.2 innings. He struck out 56 with nearly a four-to-one strikeout-to-walk ratio, limiting opponents to a .215 batting average. For his fine work this season, Dustin earned Northeast-10 All-Conference honors. As a sophomore he ranked among the NE-10 leaders in opposing batting average (13th, .240) and was named to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll. A three-year player at Sanborn High School, NH, he earned All-State honors in baseball, basketball and soccer.
Ramey returns for round two with the Mainers. For Sanford in 2009, Ramey started six games, logging 28.1 innings in which he posted an 0-1 record with a 6.35 ERA. The righty finished strong striking out 18 and only walking seven. Following a redshirt season in 2008 due to injuries, he finished 4-1 with a 3.98 ERA for the Webster Yankees of the New York Collegiate Baseball League (NYCBL).
