Pat Cantwell is a Sophomore catcher for the Stony Brook University Sea Wolves. In his second year with the Sea Wolves, Cantwell was an offensive powerhouse, hitting .371 with 3 home runs and 36 RBI. Propelled the Sea Wolves to their second American East Baseball title in three years. The catcher finished first or second on the team in six offensive categories including average (.371), hits (72), runs (44), and fewest strikeouts (19). Solid behind the dish, allowing only 2 passed balls and committing only 3 errors in 175 chances. Named to the All-Conference second team. As a freshman, Cantwell was named to the America East All-Rookie team. Appeared in 42 games, started 31 and led the conference with 15 runners caught stealing and hit .284 with 16 RBI. Native of West Islip, New York, he was a three-time captain at West Islip High School, leading the team to a 23-5 record and Suffolk Class AA championship in 2008.
