Tony Bucciferro is a pitcher from Michigan State. Tony was a heavily relied upon stater in 2010, finishing second on the Spartans team with 88.2 innings pitched. He appeared in 14 games, starting 13, and finished 7-5 with 3 complete games, among which included two shutouts. Tony walked just 17 batters all season against 52 strikeouts and finished the regular season with a 5.08 ERA. In 2009 he was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team as he went 5-2 (2-1 in the Big Ten) with a staff-low 3.55 ERA. Tony made 11 starts in 14 appearances and struck out a team-high 61 while walking just 12. In high school he was an all-state selection as a senior as well as a three year all-conference and all-area honoree. He was a three-year letter winner and went 21-1 with an ERA of 1.50 in two years on the varsity squad. He was rated the No. 21 prospect overall in Illinois by Prep Baseball Report. Tony is the son of Jim and Judy Bucciferro.
