Rhode Island native Dan Gamache comes to the Gulls as an infielder from Auburn University after completing an outstanding season. In 2010 Dan led nationally ranked Auburn with a .404 batting average. He also added 7 homeruns, 34 RBIs, and 7 steals in his 49 games. After starring for Bishop Hendricken and helping lead them to the 2008 state championship, Dan chose to attend Auburn and joined the baseball team as a walk-on. His freshman season he played in 24 games, starting 15, and hit .383 with 3 homeruns and 11 runs batted in. In 47 at-bats Dan complied a .508 on base percentage and slugged .638. Born to Dan and Jane Gamache, Dan has three siblings (Olivia, Reed and Janel) and is majoring in Exercise Science.
