After his Sophomore year at Cornell, Frank started all 38 games at third base and earned his second varsity letter. Hager finished the year with 37 hits, including 13 doubles and 2 triples, to go along with his team high 24 runs scored. Frank had 2 HR and 23 RBI. He had 12 multiple-hit games and was 5-6 in stolen bases.
Hager was a first-team all-county selection his senior year at Delbarton while also twice earning all-conference and all-area honors. As a senior, he picked up the team's most valuable position player award after leading the team in batting average, slugging percentage and on-base percentage. While serving as team captain as a senior, he helped to lead the team to the Morris County Championship for the first time in 21 years. Hager was also awarded the Coach Harold Stillwell Award, an award epitomizing the attributes of "The Delbarton Baseball Player" as a junior, and earned three letters in baseball.
