Curl completed his junior season this spring after seeing action in 22 games last season as a sophomore.  During his first season with the Aggies, Curl appeared in 59 games, drawing 30 starts, all at second base.  He posted a .276 batting average while scoring 18 runs and driving in 18.  He was selected to the Big 12 All-Freshman team after his first collegiate season.

Curl attended Tascosa High School and helped lead his team to playoff appearances in both his sophomore and junior seasons.  His senior season he posted a .460 batting average and also led the Rebels in three major offensive categories as a junior, posting a team-best .430 average, 35 RBI and 47 runs scored.  During his high school career he also garnered second team All-District, first team All-District and All-State accolades while also being selected Outstanding Senior Male and winner of the Spirit of Tascosa Award.  As a freshman he earned district newcomer of the year honors after batting .400.

Curl is no stranger to summer baseball, having played with the Elk City Travelers of the United States Amateur Baseball Federation prior to his freshman season at Texas A&M.  He helped lead his team to a 59-7 overall record and USABF World Series Championship while posting impressive offensive numbers that summer.  In 46 games, Curl led his team with a .494 batting average with 62 runs, 14 doubles, six triples, 12 home runs, 52 RBI, while also stealing 16 bases.  Curl is a native of Amarillo, Texas.
