Turgeon comes back to the Schooners for a second consecutive summer to play baseball in his own back yard. In 2013 for the CCSU Blue Devils, Turgeon batted .174 in 53 starts in the infield, driving in 15 RBI and scoring 24 runs. He also had his best defensive season yet, witha fielding percentage of .971.
Last summer with the Schooners, Turgeon played second base and clubbed 3 home runs with 15 runs scored while batting .222 for the summer. Turgeon highlighted a trio of Schooners last summer who played at Fitch in high school and reunited to play for Mystic.
2012 was Turgeon’s best power hitting season as a Blue Devil when he hit 17 extra base hits (13 doubles), drove in 25 RBI and scored 31 runs. He also walked 16 times.
Prior to CCSU, Turgeon was named All-State as well as three-time All-ECC and two-time All-Area.
