Joe Houlihan brings experience to the NWI infield this season, having appeared in almost 70 games in the last two years for Central Michigan.
The Illinois native batted .247 his freshman year in 2012 with 10 RBI and 3 doubles in 36 games played.
Houlihan was also a three-year starter at shortstop in high school at Providence Catholic. He hit .316 with four home runs his junior season to earn Catholic Blue League all-conference honors and was a Perfect Game Honorable Mention All-American. A versatile athlete, Houlihan also spent two seasons as the starting quarterback on Providence Catholic's football team.
