Hammond native Aveeno Nasilowski joins the Oilmen in 2013 as a multi-skilled player that saw time both on the mound and in the field in his sophomore season at Chicago State.
Nasilowski was one of only four players to play in over 50 games this spring for the Cougars, and the local product was second on the team with 16 RBI. He also slugged two home runs, tying for the team lead, while playing great defense- he committed just two errors in over 135 chances in the field.
On the rubber, Nasilowski picked up the only save of the year for Chicago State, making 17 total appearances, mostly as a reliever.
As a senior at Gavit, he was named All-Area first team by the Post-Tribune, and was also a Mr. Baseball candidate, hitting .463 with 22 RBI, 12 doubles and 10 stolen bases.
