In 2013, Mahon batted .311, 33 hits, 13 RBI and possessed a .415 slugging percentage. He only played in 30 games during the season because of injury. Jake started all 59 games in 2012, primarily at 3rd base but also played catcher and 1st base. Mahon led the team with 43 RBIs. He was ranked 1st in MVC in HBP (20). Mahon went to Jonathan Alder in Plain City, Ohio and was a four year letter winner and a three time All-County honoree with a career batting average of .420.
