For the first two seasons, Turnier was the go-to guy out of the bullpen for the Owls; however, he missed all of the 2013 season.
As a sophomore he was named to the All-Northeast-10 first-team after going 2-0 with 9 saves in 14 appearances. In his 15.2 innings, Turnier led the Owls in ERA at 1.15 and struck out 18 batters.
As a freshman, he was second on the team in appearances with 18 and went 6-1 in 42 innings pitched with a 3.21 ERA. Turnier struck out 40 batters compared to allowing 34 hits.
The Waterford, Conn. Native attended Waterford high School and earned all-ECC honors, as well as getting named to The Day’s all-area team. Turnier also won a state championship with the Lancers.
