Continuing North Adams’ ties with Nova Southeastern, sophomore infielder Julian Loret de Mola will bring his talents to North Adams for the 2013 season.
Listed as a pitcher and an infielder, Loret de Mola has served as the Sharks’ primary designated hitter while also making starts at first and third base this spring. The right-handed hitter finished the year batting .266 in 23 appearances and chipped in five doubles, two triples, two homers and 17 RBI while slugging an even .500 on the year.
Loret de Mola came to Nova Southeastern after transferring from Florida Atlantic University, where he played one year and pitched in 13 games. The Miami native also helped his high school win back-to-back Florida Class 2A state championships in 2009 and 2010, earning All-Miami Dade County honors as a junior and senior.
The son of Oscar Loret de Mola and Beatriz Quadreny, Julian is pursuing a major in sports management and has one sibling, Laura.
