Right-handed pitcher Kyle Zaleski joins the Blue Crabs after playing for division-rival the Bridgeport Bluefish in 2012, recording a 5-3 in 68.1 innings with a 4.61 ERA. The 31 year-old had a previous stint with the Blue Crabs in 2010 appearing in just two games with a 2.25 ERA.
Zaleski has seen time spread out throughout independent baseball beginning his career with the Frontier League’s Gateway Grizzlies in 2004 before joining several other independent league’s including, the Northern League, Central League, Continental League, American Association and the Canadian-American Association before spending the last three seasons in the Atlantic League (Southern Maryland, York Revolution, Bridgeport). In seven seasons of independent baseball, the 6’4”, 205-pound Zaleski, boasts a 22-16 record in 375.2 innings pitched with a 4.22 ERA in 172 games.
Zaleski is a native of Mundelein, Ill., and attended Illinois State University.
