Drafted by the San Diego Padres in the 18th round of the 2011 MLB Draft from Marist College. Started his professional career with the Eugene Emeralds of the short season single-A Northwest League. Hit .290 in 23 games with two RBIs and three doubles. Was called up mid-season to the single-A Fort Wayne Tincaps of the Midwest League, hitting .341 with six RBIs and two doubles in 25 games and 79 at bats.
In 2012, Gallic hit .273 for Fort Wayne with three homers, 32 RBIs and 15 doubles in 300 at bats. Struck out 68 times compared to 20 walks. In his senior season at Marist, led the Red Fox in home runs (six), runs batted in (43), stolen bases (12) and triples (3). Gallic hit .292 and scored 43 runs. He was a Second Team All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Selection.
