Matt Nandin is thrilled to get started in Rockland for the 2012 season. A Can-Am league veteran, Matt started with New Hampshire in 2009 and has played for the Pittsfield Colonials the past two seasons.
A Syracuse native, Nandin played his collegiate ball at Le Moyne college and ranks in the top-10 all-time in hits and games started. In the offseason, Nandin also coaches at his Alma Mater, working with the infielders and coaching third base.
After a year with New Hampshire, Nandin's finest season came in 2010 with Pittsfield. The righty finished the season with a .321 BA while hitting 8 homers and amassing 48 RBI's.
Baseball is in Nandin's blood lines as his father played in the big leagues and his sister Morgan is the shortstop for the Syracuse University women's softball team.
