Flannery has five seasons of minor league experience, all in the New York Yankees organization, including two seasons at Double-A. Flannery spent the 2012 season in Double-A and finished with a 3-2 record, a 3.97 ERA, eight saves and 30 strikeouts in 37 games. In 2011, before being promoted, he finished his time in Single-A in Tampa with a 3-1 record, a 1.24 ERA, 19 saves and 35 strikeouts in 36 appearances. Flannery has a minor league career record of 20-12 with a 2.44 ERA, 54 saves, and 215 strikeouts in 179 games. He is a New Jersey native who was born in Carlstadt, graduated from Henry P. Becton High School in East Rutherford, and attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck.
