A freshman catcher out of Boston College, Sauter joins the Silver Knights for his first season. The Fullerton, California native started 31 games for the Eagles, finishing with a .226 batting average, 26 hits and a .971 fielding percentage on the season.
His favorite player is Matt Kemp and Sauter says he turns to turkey sandwiches for his pre-game fuel food.
His favorite moment of his collegiate career so far was hitting a homerun in his first college start.
When asked which actor would play him best in a movie, Sauter said he’d give Ryan Reynolds the part.
