Bryant is a strikeout pitcher who was use primarily as a starter in 2013 for the Owls, recording 57 strikeouts in 62 innings, good for second on the team. Opposing batters only hit .222 against the right-hander and only allowed 3 extra base hits, all of which were doubles.
Bryant played summer baseball last summer for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League. He went 1-2 in 5 appearances (4 starts) with a 2.66 ERA. He struck out 19 batters in 23.1 innings of work.
As a freshman in 2012, Bryant was named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie team after having a solid rookie season. He lead the Owls with 6 wins, compiling a 6-2 record, 1 save and a 4.18 ERA. He also recorded 46 strikeouts in 60.1 innings pitched.
Prior to Southern Connecticut State, Bryant attended Newington High School where was three-time all-conference selection and a New Haven Register All-State first team collection. He is also the all-time wins leader at Newington with 24.
