O’Herron completes the quartet of Schooners coming back for a second season here in 2013. In his first full season for the Ravens, O’Herron played in 56 games and batted .280 while clubbing 8 doubles and 1 home run. He was 3rd on the team in RBI with 32, scored 32 runs, drew 17 walks and stole 7 bases to help lead Franklin Pierce to the Division II NCAA College World Series.
At-bat for Mystic last summer, O’Herron batted .257 with 3 doubles, 14 runs scored and 7 RBI. Despite 33 strikeouts, he managed to get 14 walks and get hit by 3 more pitches for a .361 on-base percentage, good for third among qualifiers.
At Cethedral High School, O’Herron was a two-time Western Massachusetts Player of the Year and was a three-time selection to the All-Western Massachusetts first-team.
