Dominant behind the plate, Kennedy has improved his hitting, batting .258 with a .415 on-base percentage. He’s clubbed 2 home runs and 2 doubles while driving in 9 runs and scoring 14 more. Behind the plate, he has note committed a single error all season long and has caught 33% of runners stealing.
Kennedy threw out 60% of base stealers in 2012, while playing in 40 games (31 starts) as a freshman. He picked up 14 hits in 85 at-bats, batting .165 and a .308 on-base percentage. Kennedy was able to draw 14 walks, drive in 4 runs and score 6 more while taking over behind the plate.
Last summer, Kennedy played for the All-American Prospects baseball team.
While at Archbishop McCarthy, he was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year and led his team to both state and national championships.
